Key West is on the verge of breaking a daily rainfall record that was set on 1872, 140 years ago. This on the anniversary of the earliest tropical development in history on 5 February 1952, hurricane Able, 60 years ago. This is in no way a tropical event, just a mid to upper level low that has been parked near the western tip of Cuba for nearly 5 days.

This is an image of the composite radar at KBYX, Key West WFO National Weather Service as of 553 pm tonight. More rain on the way.

Thanks to Weather Underground for the historical track information on Hurricane Able from February 1952.
